Five Tips on How to Be More Efficient in Your Work

Entrepreneurs are typically extremely busy individuals who have limited time to complete a multitude of tasks that weigh heavily on them. Being efficient and composed is the only way to tackle the pile of tasks and obligations. Here are some tips on how to achieve that.

1. Create a TOP 3 list every day. Write down 3 goals you want to achieve that day. Once you have done that, take action. Do not waste time constantly checking emails and social media; instead, focus on executing the tasks you have set.

2. Be active. It is nothing new to state that being physically active increases our productivity. Research shows that just 20 minutes a day of intense physical activity increases the amount of the endocrine hormone endorphin in our body, which creates a feeling of euphoria and releases vast amounts of energy.

3. Ask for help. If you can save just a few hours of time for yourself by delegating some obligations and business tasks to another qualified person, do not hesitate even if you need to allocate a certain amount of financial resources. Rest is essential, and it will help you return stronger and more determined.

4. Sleep at least 7 hours every day. Many business people have insomnia problems. The reason is anxiety and fear of forgetting something. Here is a possible solution. Take a piece of paper and place it next to your pillow. When you wake up in the middle of the night and remember that you need to do something tomorrow that you had forgotten earlier, simply write it down, and you will gradually reduce the anxiety that disrupts your sleep. A sense of security will diminish anxiety. Also, turn off your mobile phone and computer. The bright light from their screens disrupts quality sleep.

5. Avoid emails and social media as much as possible. So many people are slaves to their smartphones and emails. As soon as they receive a notification that they have a new message, they stop everything they are doing and start responding to messages regardless of how important they are. Not only does this waste time that was allocated for the task being performed before the message arrived, but this habit also increases anxiety and suppresses creativity.
