INA and Konzum have signed an Agreement on Electronic Document Exchange, thus becoming the first companies in Croatia to completely abolish the circulation of paper documents in the supply chain.
In accordance with the strict requirements of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration, in the process of exchanging eInvoices with their partners, INA has established an eArchive, making the previous physical archiving of invoices a thing of the past. Although electronic document exchange between business entities in Croatia has existed in some form for some time, it was only with Croatia’s entry into the community of European Union countries and amendments to the Value Added Tax regulations that the prerequisites for standardizing the entire process and abolishing the obligation to circulate and store paper documents were opened.

The key advantages of introducing electronic data exchange are the abolition of the circulation of paper documents, automation and acceleration of processes, increased timeliness and accuracy of processing and posting, significant reduction in archiving costs, a better basis for planning cash outflows and an increase in the quality of trade relations and competitiveness, stated Darko Markotić, Executive Director of SD Retail.
