– I do not agree with the president of my party and his statement in which he accused another major party of neo-Ustasha tendencies. Those are very serious words; people in such positions in the state should not say that. We can lose elections, but not our honor, you know who said that – said Ivo Baldasar, the mayor of Split, at the traditional New Year’s reception.
He emphasized that he cannot accept that half of the state is declared criminals, and that neither he nor the SDP of Split believes that to be the case.
– I call for a democratic dialogue. I believe that the SDP must decide in a democratic sense which direction it will take. The leadership that does not win or loses should resign and prepare the party for elections to elect a new leadership of the SDP – said Baldasar.
