Tihomir Orešković is a native of Zagreb, born in 1966, but completed his studies and began his professional career in Canada.
Tihomir Orešković was born in 1966 in Zagreb, graduated in chemistry from McMaster University in Canada in 1989, and completed his MBA focused on finance and information systems at the same university in 1991.
He began his professional career in 1992 in the production of the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly in Canada, where he held various positions in the finance and international business segment, including Latin America and Asia, leaving the company as the director of government relations and economic affairs.
He continued his career at Novopharm in Canada, now a member of the Teva group, as vice president responsible for business development and specialty products, as well as chief financial officer.
Orešković joined Pliva in 2009 as chief financial officer for Eastern Europe, and in 2010 was appointed chief financial officer for the EMIA region (Eastern Europe, Mediterranean, Israel, and Africa). He was appointed CEO in 2012 and leads Pliva’s operations in the Southeast Europe region.
