This is the crown of Agrokor’s acquisition of Mercator, said Darko Knez at the opening of the new Super Konzum Radnička, formerly a Mercator center.
The new store, which has seen an investment of 30 million kuna for its renovation, employs 166 people, and as Knez stated, these are the best people from both centers – Konzum and Mercator.
– This is not just a store but a completely new shopping experience tailored to the needs of the modern consumer and their busy and demanding life, says Knez.
In this store at Super Konzum Radnička, customers enter a Juice bar, followed by a Gastroteka where numerous and diverse dishes are prepared upon customer request, and alongside a top-quality butcher shop, fish market, and other departments typical for Konzum, the department for the youngest, Dream factory, stands out, featuring all the most modern and best toys. Additionally, within the center, the British fashion brand F&F has opened, a franchise that Agrokor is introducing to the Croatian public. The first F&F opened recently in Zadar, and by the end of 2016, it is planned to open 7 to 8 such stores in Croatia offering men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing.
It is noted that Agrokor has taken the franchise for the countries of the former Yugoslavia and plans to expand into neighboring markets.
