Magical Christmas Ornaments for an Unforgettable Smile That Will Bring Red Noses to Children

Arena Centar and the Croatian Association of Visual Artists decided to collect funds for the RED NOSES clown doctors by donating 50 ornaments created by renowned Croatian visual artists.

For its fifth birthday, Arena Centar decided to offer its visitors something more than just good fun and quality shopping. Thus, a collaboration was arranged with the Croatian Society of Visual Artists, and Arena Centar became a small art gallery. The exceptionally rich and vibrant interior of the Arena and its cultural wealth left no one indifferent. In the Arena, 50 Christmas ornaments were presented, painted by Tomislav Buntak, Josip Zanki, Tomislav Ostrman, Matko Vekić, Siniša Reberski, Miron Milić, Predrag Todorović, Martina Miholić, Gordana Bakić, Lav Paripović, Ivona Jurić, Duje Jurić, Martina Grlić, Grgur Akrap, Ivan Prerad, Maja Rožman, and many others. A site-specific installation exhibition was also set up, which all visitors to the Center will be able to enjoy for the next year. Three artistic names were engaged for the creation of the sculptures: Predrag Todorović, Božica Dea Matasić, and Ida Blažičko.

Not wanting to stop at just visual effects and the artistic beauty of creation, Arena Centar and HDLU decided to launch a donation campaign, whereby all Christmas ornaments will be given in exchange for donations, and the funds will be donated to the RED NOSES clown doctors for visits to children in hospitals and those with limited mobility and immobile in nursing homes. The mission of the RED NOSES clown doctors is to bring smiles and joy to life where tears and sadness are present. RED NOSES provide psychosocial support to the sick, helpless, and forgotten, primarily children undergoing treatment in hospitals, using humor and joy of life. So far, RED NOSES have brought much joy, smiles, and positive thoughts to various institutions, creating unbreakable friendships and giving strength to many to feel better in difficult times and find inspiration in the harsh realities of life.

That is why Arena Centar, HDLU, and RED NOSES invite companies to participate in this beautiful, motivating action and to donate funds during the time of giving and Christmas magic, which will make Christmas and the holidays happier for many. Your donation will enable visits by clown doctors to children undergoing treatment in one of the 9 hospitals regularly visited by RED NOSES, as well as the placement of these unique ornaments that will decorate the spaces where small patients reside. In addition to small patients, clown doctors also care for the elderly and helpless, and their wish is to use your donation to visit three homes and decorate their spaces with ornaments, brightening the days of older individuals and bringing them many warm and positive wishes in 2016.

So far, this commendable initiative has been supported by companies such as Atlantic Trade – pharmacy Farmacia, Heraldi for Men, Office Shoes Croatia, and Lemia, and it is expected that many others will join the story that will bring much joy and warmth to various institutions. The value of the artistic ornaments is 95,000 kuna, but knowing that they were painted by distinguished visual artists, their value is priceless, as they are exquisite works of art, and the funds and collected donations will gain unique significance.

The beautiful collaboration of three recognizable brands will surely bring many a new perspective on the year ahead, making the Christmas holidays and the New Year brighter, happier, and of higher quality, showing that even in today’s time, human values and the greatness of the human heart have not been forgotten. Arena Zagreb, HDLU, and RED NOSES best demonstrate that there are people of good will who care for others, creating a better society and new, more beautiful life values.
