The American soft drink manufacturer PepsiCo has confirmed that it will entrust production in Croatia to a new partner, after Badel 1862 announced that it would exit the non-alcoholic beverage production category by the end of the year, media reported on Monday.
The American company confirmed to the specialized portal just-drinks that it will transfer bottling operations to a new partner, whose name will be announced “at an appropriate time,” the statement said.
– We remain in the Croatian market and assure our clients and customers that we will continue to distribute our product portfolio here, adhering to the highest standards and product quality, PepsiCo added.
Badel 1862 is, by the way, 67.68% owned by the Croatian government and last week announced that it is withdrawing from the non-alcoholic beverage market to focus on its core business of producing and distributing spirits and wine. The company currently produces all products from the PepsiCo portfolio in the region, notes just-drinks.
