President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović stated after consultations with coalition representatives that it was evident today that no one has a majority to form a government. She firmly rejected any claims of pressure. She called on security system leaders not to take actions that would endanger any Croatian citizens. I was elected to protect the constitutional order and the security of the state. I will not allow anyone to jeopardize the stability of the state and order for any interest. She urged representatives to take full responsibility. The next round of consultations will be held at the beginning of next week.
President of the SDP, Zoran Milanović, stated that he did not receive a mandate to agree to everything that Most demands. This is not a fight for positions; I have not sat in a position for four years, emphasized Milanović. He pointed out that he does not see it as possible to operate the state in the way that Most wants. It would be fairest for all representatives to gather and go to new elections or for the entire Most to join the HDZ. If they have enough, he added.
From the first meeting, the plan of Most and Petrov is to establish a joint government. My meeting with Karamarko is not a precedent; we sat at the same table when it was a matter of arbitration.
