After two weeks of decline, fuel prices rose on Tuesday. A liter of eurosuper 95 is now more expensive by as much as 20 lipa and is sold in the range of 9.15 to 9.19 kuna, depending on the company. This is also the highest price of gasoline and the largest increase in the last month and a half. A 50-liter tank is more expensive by 10 kuna.
Drivers using diesel fuel have a bit more luck. According to information from the portal cijenegoriva.info, a liter of this type of fuel increased by 5 lipa on Tuesday and is now sold in the range of 8.39 to 8.42 kuna, depending on the company. Drivers using autogas also have no reason for satisfaction as this type of fuel is the most expensive in the last six and a half months. The price of a liter of autogas increased by about 14 lipa on Tuesday and is sold at most stations for 4.12 kuna. The Gas Center Zagreb (PCZ) still keeps the price of autogas below four kuna, selling it for 3.90 kuna.
The higher fuel prices in Croatia, especially for gasoline, are a result of a strong increase in prices on the Mediterranean exchange of as much as 5.6 percent, while diesel fuels increased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous week. At the same time, the average exchange rate of the dollar against the kuna is higher by 0.85 percent. However, the dollar exchange rate has been rising relentlessly for a month (a total of 5 percent) and is now at 7.20 kuna. If this trend continues, it is only a matter of weeks before it equals the exchange rate of the euro and kuna (currently 7.61).
