What connects Ivan Šuker, Gordan Jandroković, and Boža Biškupić with Tomislav Horvatinčić?
I do not mean political affiliation, considering that Horvatinčić is a donor to the HDZ. It is about memory problems. The ministerial trio of witnesses in the ‘Planinska case’ does not remember anything about the decision made by the Government regarding the purchase of the building in Planinska from the then Member of Parliament Stjepan Fiolić at an inflated price, for which Sanader is being tried. Horvatinčić shares the same afflictions with the ministers – he does not remember how the accident occurred in which two Italians died, and he even forgot that he signed a lawsuit against the families of the deceased, in which he seeks compensation because he had to sell his yacht at a lower price after the accident.
But if he does not have a good memory, Horvatinčić knows how to deal with judges. He caused four traffic accidents, in which four people died, from September 1999 to February 2011. He committed 31 traffic offenses, mostly receiving conditional sentences, and he has never even lost his driving license. You do not know whether forgetfulness or long memory is worse.
