Infiniti has gained worldwide fame for the unusual recognizable design of its models. Primarily, it was the FX version that created a real craze at one point, even in Croatia where there was no official representative at the time of its appearance, and the vehicles were individually imported.
In the meantime, Infiniti has ‘received its papers’ in our country, but unfortunately, according to sales results, it has not yet managed to come close to the German holy trinity of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.
Perhaps a certain step in that direction will be made with the new QX30 model. This is a vehicle that is based on the compact model Q30, specifically it is the SUV version of the same car. The car was presented as a concept this year at the Geneva Motor Show, and the official premiere of the production version took place at the current show in Los Angeles. Indeed, the designers at Infiniti have once again done a commendable job. It features an avant-garde appearance that captivates at first sight.
Borrowed from Mercedes It is interesting that the main competitor mentioned is the Mercedes model GLA. However, although they are competitors in many ways, these two vehicles also share common elements as Infiniti borrowed the platform, a few engines, and the drivetrain from the German manufacturer. In short, almost all technical elements are borrowed, but of course, the appearance is completely different. Since the car had its production premiere in the USA, it is clear that American soil will be the most important market for the QX30. To sell a car on the other side of the Atlantic, it needs to have a gasoline heart. This is a 1.6-liter turbo engine that develops 122 and 156 horsepower, and for the most demanding or sport-oriented drivers, there is also a two-liter turbo engine with 211 horsepower.
