An indictment council was held in the case of former head of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Nadan Vidošević, where four co-defendants reached a settlement.
Among others, Igor Premilovac received one year in prison, which is replaced by community service, and the same sentence was given to Davor Komerički. Vesna Rodić received 11 months in prison with 4 years of probation, while Jasna Mrakovčić-Grubić received one year in prison with a probation period of 3 years. When leaving the County Court, Nadan Vidošević stated, as reported by HRT, that he does not know what these people are accusing him of, he is convinced that the indictment will be overturned and that in the end, the state will have to apologize to him.
Let us recall, Vidošević is accused of siphoning millions of kuna from the Croatian Chamber of Economy for years, and along with him, 8 other individuals have been charged. The indictment council continues tomorrow.
The indictment in the so-called Remorker affair proposed that he be stripped of property benefits amounting to as much as 39 million kuna. The prosecution, as previously emphasized, was guided by the opinion of an accounting and financial expert who determined that there is a significant discrepancy between Vidošević’s legal income and his assets. They also proposed that part of his art collection, which is estimated by experts to be among the most valuable in Croatia, be confiscated.
