New Drop in Motor Fuel Prices

Motor fuel prices are expected to drop from Tuesday, with gasoline potentially decreasing by between four and five lipa per liter, and diesel fuel by about nine lipa per liter, the Ministry of Economy announced on Monday.

According to today’s calculations, due to the drop in oil derivative prices in the Mediterranean by 2.4 to 3.9 percent compared to last week, and despite a 1.1 percent increase in the dollar exchange rate, motor fuel prices are expected to fall again from Tuesday.

Gasoline prices could thus decrease by between four and five lipa per liter, while simultaneously diesel fuels could decrease by about nine lipa per liter, the Ministry reported.

Retail prices of oil derivatives also fell a week ago, with gasoline prices decreasing by 11 to 12 lipa per liter, and diesel fuels by eight lipa. The Ministry of Economy reminds that the oil derivatives market in Croatia is free, so new prices ultimately primarily depend on the traders’ decisions.
