Through this letter, we wish to respond to the article by journalist Ksenija Puškarić published in the last issue of the weekly Lider, edition of November 5, 2015, titled “HEP to pay severance for another 1500 employees by the end of the year,” as well as the identical article published on Sunday, November 8, 2015, on the website of the weekly Lider.
The article is titled ”HEP has prepared severance for another 1500 employees”. The articles are not based on accurate information, and the journalist did not correctly convey the response that was sent to her from HEP regarding her inquiry. The figures cited by the journalist in the article are incorrect, as is the context of the article related to the company HEP-Operator of the Distribution System.
Regarding the company HEP-Operator of the Distribution System, we clearly and unequivocally responded to the journalist from HEP that ”the business restructuring project of HEP ODS was initiated only recently and there will be no new departures of employees as a result of the restructuring process by the end of this year.”
HEP Group has been undergoing a business restructuring process since 2013, and it continues, with part of this process being the ongoing reduction of the number of employees in subsidiary companies. However, as before, nothing will happen overnight, and employees will be protected during these changes.
For all these reasons, we kindly ask you to publish the text of this denial in the next issue of the printed edition, as well as as soon as possible on the online edition, in accordance with the Media Act.
