European Coastal Airlines (ECA), registered in Croatia as European Coastal Carrier, is growing rapidly after years of struggle with Croatian administration – starting from November 13, 2015, it will launch commercial flights from Split and Rijeka to Italy (Ancona).
But it does not intend to stop there. The first European seaplane transport company, led by Klaus Dieter Martin, which received its first flights in Croatia in 2014, plans to expand. As Martin once stated, their goal is to connect as many Croatian islands to the mainland as possible, as well as to increase the choice of flights to Italy (Venice, Ravenna).
They have also begun exploring opportunities in Montenegro and further in the Mediterranean, and in 2016, they intend to invest an additional 20 million euros in the realization of seaplane flights.
