The goal of the conference is to promote the best controller practices and bring them closer to the economy – emphasized Jasmina Očko, a consultant at Kontroling Kognosku, while opening the third international conference ‘Controlling – Economic Partner of Management’ organized by the consulting company Kontroling Kognosko and Lider.
– Modern controlling requires development in accordance with current circumstances. Contemporary business practice gives controllers a significant role and places them in a position of partnership with management, together setting the company’s goals, where controllers are very important as they have a panoramic view of business-related matters – Očko stated in front of around two hundred attendees.
Right at the beginning of the conference, for the first time, an award for the best controlling project in Croatia was presented, modeled after other awards from ICV (International Controller Association) aimed at encouraging the development of controlling by the controllers themselves. The winner of the competition is Romana Petričević from Colas Croatia for the project ‘Controller Monitoring of General Business Expenses’.
The program continues with a lecture by this year’s keynote speaker, Péter Horváth, a member of the Supervisory Board of Horváth AG, on the challenges of controlling in the era of digitalization, followed by a series of presentations by internationally recognized experts.
