As of November 1, amendments to the Companies Act will come into effect, after which some services provided by notaries will also become cheaper.
This mainly concerns the reduction of costs for company liquidation, but Minister of Justice Orsat Miljenić has also intervened in the fee structure for the solemnization of contracts, writes Jutarnji.
This cost depends on the value of the contract, but if any provisions of the contract are subsequently corrected, the notary will not charge for another solemnization, but a maximum of one-quarter of the previous cost.
The reduction in fees directly related to the amendments to the Companies Act primarily aims to cut the costs of company liquidation. The liquidation of a limited liability company (d.o.o.) and a joint-stock company (d.d.) previously cost from 7,500 kuna upwards. Of that amount, 1,800 kuna was solely for publications in the Official Gazette, which will now be completely omitted, and only 100 kuna will be charged for the publication of liquidation on the website of the Court Register.
The costs that will remain with the notary will total 2,000 kuna for d.o.o. and d.d., plus an additional 30 kuna for the certification of the liquidation application. For a simple limited liability company (j.d.o.o.), liquidation will be even cheaper.
