For every company that goes out of business in Croatia, two new ones are established, according to the latest analysis by Bisnode. In the first nine months of this year, 9,526 companies were founded in Croatia, while 4,537 were closed down.
If we know that the same research indicates that in the first three quarters of 2014, for every company that went out of business, one new company was established, we can conclude that now is the right time to start a company. However, Professor Ivan Lovrinović from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb does not attach much importance to this research. Fear of tomorrow, public debt, and high unemployment are the main reasons for such an opinion. His opponent in this week’s Fight Club, the marketing director at Bisnode, Višeslav Majić, is somewhat more optimistic, believing that if things are arranged in the right way, despite all the difficulties, now is indeed the right time to start a company.
