Jacques Feron was appointed on Monday, October 12, 2015, as the new CEO of Zagreb International Airport, MZLZ announced today. The MZLZ Management Board consists of three members, and alongside Jacques Feron, the board members are David Gabelica and Hulya Sofuoglu. Jacques Feron replaces the former CEO Bruno Mazurkiewicz, who has been at the helm of MZLZ since the beginning of 2014.
Bruno Mazurkiewicz managed Zagreb Airport during the commencement of the concession agreement implementation and the operational start of the construction of the new passenger terminal. Jacques Feron will continue to develop the completion of construction and preparations for the start of traffic operations at the new terminal, which is expected in the first quarter of 2017.
“I am happy to have the opportunity to participate in this challenging project of developing Zagreb International Airport, where I will utilize the experience gained from international construction, financing, and development projects of various transport infrastructure facilities. Airports are extremely significant for the development of any economy and require a high level of quality in facilities and services. I am pleased to see that the construction of the new passenger terminal is proceeding as planned. My colleagues share their very positive experiences in daily cooperation with MZLZ employees, who are working diligently on the successful implementation of this major project. For all these reasons, I look forward to this new challenge and view the future development of Zagreb International Airport with optimism,” said Jacques Feron, thanking Bruno Mazurkiewicz for his well-done previous work.
