Fuel prices in Croatia have risen the most in the last month. A liter of eurosuper 95 has increased by 15 lipa and is sold in the range of 9.22 to 9.25 kuna, depending on the company. This is also the largest increase for this type of fuel in the last five weeks.
A liter of eurodiesel has also increased the most in the last month. According to information from the portal cijenegoriva.info, drivers have been paying 13 lipa more for a liter of this type of fuel since Tuesday compared to last week. The price of eurodiesel ranges between 8.62 and 8.65 kuna, depending on the company, which is also the highest price since the beginning of September.
However, drivers using autogas have significant reasons for concern. The price of a liter of this type of fuel has not decreased for nine weeks. Since Tuesday, autogas has become more expensive by 12 lipa and is sold for 4.09 kuna at the vast majority of stations, which is also the highest price in the last five months.
The new fuel prices in Croatia are a result of the movements in derivative prices on the so-called Mediterranean market and the exchange rate of the dollar and kuna. Observing the movement of crude oil prices on global markets, last week it jumped by about seven percent and approached the level of even 53 dollars per barrel (the highest price since the end of August), which significantly affected the Mediterranean market and consequently the fuel prices in Croatia. However, already this week the price per barrel has fallen to 50 dollars. At the same time, the dollar is weakening against the kuna and is now at 6.69 kuna, which is the lowest value in the last three and a half weeks.
