11 Startups Selected for Techstars METRO Accelerator

Eleven international startups have been selected to participate in the final phase of the Techstars METRO Accelerator, the first global program aimed at startups developing technological solutions for hotels and hospitality providers.

Startup teams from the USA, France, Estonia, Austria, and Germany will receive financial support for the further development of their digital solutions with the help of mentors and experts in procurement, sales, marketing, and communications at the TechEnterpreneurship center in Berlin during the three-month program. At the “Demo Day” at the end of January 2016, they will present their projects to potential investors.

In selecting the best, the jury considered the business idea, market fit, and the company’s progress to date. Selected were CoffeeCloud, Flowtify, Lunchio, GroupRaise.com, Roomatic, Rublys, 1001menus, Wynd, which produce software solutions and applications for restaurant owners, hospitality providers, and hoteliers, as well as Journy, Poshpacker, and Gastrozentrale.de for travel services and online shopping.

Let us remind you that several hundred applications were received from 20 countries for the first Techstars METRO Accelerator, and two applications from Croatia were among the top 75.

The program was created in collaboration with the METRO Group and Techstars from the USA with the aim of creating a platform that will connect technological startups with METRO customers from the hospitality and hotel sectors.
