Motor fuel prices could rise between 13 and 17 lipa per liter starting Tuesday, the Ministry of Economy announced on Monday.
According to calculations, due to the increase in oil prices in the Mediterranean by 4 to 5 percent compared to last week, as well as the rise in derivative prices, motor fuel prices will increase from Tuesday. Gasoline prices could rise by 15 to 17 lipa per liter, while diesel prices could increase by 13 lipa, the Ministry of Economy’s calculations show. Thus, approximately, a 50-liter tank of gasoline could become more expensive by about 8 kuna, and diesel by 6.5 kuna.
After last week’s slight decrease in derivative prices, with gasoline dropping by about four lipa per liter and diesel by three lipa, prices will now rise again. The Ministry reminds that the market for oil derivatives in Croatia is free, so the new prices ultimately depend primarily on the decisions of traders.
