Milanović: RALU logistics is a bridge connecting Croatia to the world

Those who dominate logistics services dominate the European market. Today we received a bridge that connects Croatia to the world. This is the path Croatia must take.

This was stated today by Prime Minister Zoran Milanović during the ceremonial opening of the new logistics-distribution center of RALU logistics located in the business zone Dragošićka in Rugvica near Zagreb.

This new center consists of a warehouse with an area of 11,500 square meters, and accompanying facilities for vehicle maintenance with an area of 1,500 square meters, which should provide the company with its own infrastructure for delivering the highest quality possible logistics service in Croatia’s cold chain.

– I am proud and happy that through previous investments in RALU Logistics, I have created opportunities for the employment of more than 550 employees. I am just a visionary, and the company’s employees are the ones who realized everything. However, with the construction of this center, the job is not finished as the real challenges are just beginning. RALU Logistics has turned a new page in its history with this project – said Luka Rajić, the owner of RALU Logistics, adding that he is extremely satisfied with the cooperation with state institutions and the government of Prime Minister Milanović.

The construction of the center was fully financed by private capital from Luka Rajić, and with this investment of 150 million kuna, the total amount of his investments in RALU Logistics exceeds 400 million kuna. Such investments were particularly praised by Prime Minister Milanović.

– Instead of American bonds that would provide him with secure income, Luka Rajić decided to invest his money in a competitive market and help the Croatian economy – said Milanović.

The opening of this logistics-distribution center should be a significant step towards achieving the company’s vision, which, as stated by the CEO of RALU Logistics Zvonimir Šćurec, is to ‘be the leading independent provider of integrated logistics services in the cold chain in Southeast Europe.’
