Police officers and creditors are greatly afraid of the upcoming elections. However, they are not worried about whether the SDP will remain in power or whether the HDZ will win.
They are anxious that Ivan Vilibor Sinčić does not enter the Parliament. Namely, the leader of the Living Wall would thus gain a powerful weapon in the fight against evictions – parliamentary immunity.
On Monday, the police detained him for who knows how many times at an eviction. Let us recall that during the protests against the construction of Horvatinčić’s complex, when numerous activists were arrested for ‘passive resistance’, the police left the parliamentary representatives who joined the protest sitting on the sidewalk.
An additional interesting fact is that at that time, mass arrests with immunity exceptions were conducted with the blessing of the then Minister of Internal Affairs – Tomislav Karamarko. And this hints at the possible prospects for Sinčić and his associates in evictions.
