Change in the Position of Supply Chain Director at Heineken Croatia

The current member of the Management Board and Supply Chain Director of Heineken Croatia d.o.o., Zvonimir Nemet, is leaving Karlovac for Sofia, where he will be a member of the management team and Supply Chain Director at the local brewery Zagorka, also part of the Heineken group.

During the past 11 years that Nemet worked at the Karlovac Brewery, now Heineken Croatia d.o.o., he made a significant contribution to the development and implementation of the corporate strategy for improving productivity and efficiency (TPM WCBO) during his seven years as Supply Chain Director, which resulted in receiving Heineken’s Bronze Award certificate for progress in production management. Nemet also excelled in introducing the excellence program from the very beginning of the production process to the end consumer, with a special emphasis on the platform “100 percent Croatian ingredients,” which aims to ensure sustainable sourcing of quality Croatian raw materials, thereby providing active support to domestic agriculture.

– I am grateful to Heineken for the trust shown in me to receive a challenging three-year mandate in another country and brewery within the Heineken group as the first Croatian expert at such a management level. Based on the information I have received about the situation at the Zagorka brewery, I believe there are many parameters that I will be able to improve and achieve energy and environmental improvements at least at the level I have managed in Karlovac in recent years. Of course, significant investments will be needed for this, but given my mandate and mission, I have also received the appropriate authorizations in this regard, and I hope for good cooperation with the local CEO Nikolai Mladenov, said Zvonimir Nemet for Lider.

In place of Nemet, the position of Supply Chain Director will be taken over by the current head of the beer production and quality assurance department, Valentina Belavić. They say in Heineken Croatia that she has made a significant contribution to ensuring and maintaining the top quality of the Karlovačko brand and other products, and she is also responsible for developing recipes for the brands Karlovačko Natur radler, Karlovačko crno, Karlovačko Royal 1854, which are proudly highlighted as made from natural ingredients, without preservatives, artificial colors, and sweeteners. In addition to working on domestic brands, Valentina Belavić was also the leader of the process of obtaining a license for the production of Heineken’s Amstel Premium pilsner brand in Karlovac.
