The border crossings Bajakovo and Tovarnik have been opened for all traffic, without any restrictions, the Government announced on its Twitter account.
Interior Minister Ranko Ostojić announced that all border crossings with Serbia are open without restrictions. This was done as the pressure from refugees from Serbia has eased, and approximately three hundred refugees have left Serbia for Hungary via the Horgoš border crossing.
Prime Minister Zoran Milanović announced in the morning that after the unblocking, a new blockade of Bajakovo could be possible if he assesses that it is in Croatia’s interest.
Croatian border authorities closed the Bajakovo crossing for freight traffic at midnight between Sunday and Monday, the only one that remained open at the border with Serbia since the beginning of the refugee crisis, which created kilometer-long lines of trucks along the highway.
The following border crossings with Serbia are closed for all traffic: Ilok, Ilok 2, Principovac, Principovac 2, Erdut, and Batina.
