The first round of recapitalization of Hrvatska poštanska banka (HPB) has been successfully completed, with a total of 305,911,200.00 kuna contributed.
In the first round, only private investors were eligible to participate, and according to the conditions set by the European Commission, they were required to contribute 30% of the amount in the capital strengthening of HPB based on market principles. With the contributions made, private investors exceeded the set condition, contributing more than 50% of the required amount in the recapitalization process of Hrvatska poštanska banka.
– The State Office for State Property Management thanks the mandatory and voluntary pension funds, UCITS and investment funds, insurance companies, FGS, commercial companies, and individuals who participated in the first round of recapitalization, thereby demonstrating their trust in HPB. We are extremely satisfied with the progress of the first round of recapitalization, and given the successful first round, the Republic of Croatia will contribute the remaining amount in the second round, which starts tomorrow (September 25, 2015), up to a total amount of 550 million kuna. This will successfully complete the recapitalization of HPB, allowing the Bank to continue stable operations and further development, as stated by DUUDI.
