Marijan Hanžeković made a good profit from the sale of Genere, but other shareholders can also rub their hands

British Dechra Pharmaceuticals has announced an offer to acquire Genere, a domestic manufacturer of veterinary medicines majority-owned by lawyer Marijan Hanžeković.

Dechra and Hanžeković signed a share purchase agreement at the end of July for shares representing 63.2 percent of the stock. The price per share that Dechra is now offering to the remaining shareholders is 179.6 kuna, the same amount received by Hanžeković, which is significantly higher than the 101.4 kuna, which was the average price at which Genere’s shares traded on the Zagreb Stock Exchange in the last three months, prior to the obligation to publish the takeover offer.

The second largest shareholder is Genere itself, which holds 8.97 percent of the shares, followed by custodial accounts and minor shareholders, among whom the largest are Grozdana Drpić, Ivan Perić, Zvonko Lekić, etc.
