Today, the City Market was opened at City Center One West in Zagreb, where 20 family farms, companies, and producers will offer their diverse range of products every day until 9 PM.
The grand opening was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, Tihomir Jakovina, the Head of the City Office for Agriculture and Forestry, Emil Tuk, a representative of Styria, Mario Vrgoč, and Sven Vorih, the General Director of CC Real, the company managing all three City Centers One.
Zagreb residents now have the opportunity to purchase healthy and local products in the afternoon and evening hours that they were unable to obtain in the morning at traditional markets. This was the motivation for launching the market, a joint project of City Center One West Jankomir and Večernji List, claim the project’s initiators.
– The market is primarily intended for young urban people who, due to being overworked, are unable to shop at markets but wish to eat fresh and healthy foods. The offer of indigenous Croatian products was our response to their needs – explains Damir Glad, the project manager of City Market. Customers will be able to choose from various types of fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, preserves, pasta, honey, and herbal preparations…
Most products are grown in a natural and traditional way, many of them without added preservatives. Lupo fruit juices, OPG Mario Sever, OPG Filipović Opuzen, Faltis Jabuka, Beekeeping Daruvar, Apipharma, E-Mix Trade, OPG Matko Polić, OPG Dora Dujmović, OPG Ana Kovačić, Sirana Glilgora, Kudelić Križevačka dairy, Mini dairy Veronika, Igo-Mat, Peradarstvo Blagus are names of producers whose products you will be able to purchase at the City Market.
