The average price per square meter of new apartments sold by companies and other legal entities in Croatia during the first half of this year was 11,580 kuna, which is 4.8 percent or 526 kuna higher compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
According to DZS data, the average price per square meter of a new apartment in Zagreb in the first half of the year was 12,448 kuna, or 4.4 percent higher than in the same period last year, while the price per square meter of a new apartment in other settlements was 10,539 kuna, which is 6.3 percent higher.
When including data on prices from the social housing program (POS), the average price of sold new apartments in the first half of the year in Croatia was 11,439 kuna per square meter, or 11.3 percent higher than in the same period last year. The average price per square meter of POS apartments in the first half of the year was 7,812 kuna, which was 2.3 percent higher than in the first half of 2014.
DZS data shows that 610 new apartments were sold in Croatia in the first half of the year, of which 320 were in Zagreb and 290 in other settlements. The total usable area of the sold apartments was 42,963 square meters, making the average area of a new sold apartment about 70 square meters. Of the total number of sold new apartments, 22 were POS apartments, while the remainder were sold by companies and other legal entities.
