Ikea received over 900 applications in the first five days after announcing a job advertisement seeking 22 employees. The largest number of applications, 256, was received for the positions of so-called ‘Shopkeepers’, or managers of various departments within the sales of the future store.
The recruitment process at Ikea is open until October 13, 2013, and a total of 11 positions are available for twenty-two employees, specifically in Logistics (seeking employees with experience in warehouse management and process management within the warehouse), Sales (with experience in managing departments within retail), Business Process Management, and IKEA Food (IKEA restaurant – head chef and three cooks, as well as an administrator with experience in accounting and inventory management) Bistro and Swedish Food Market – managers with experience in hospitality and/or food and beverage retail).
The entire application process for potential job seekers takes place exclusively through the website www.ikeaandme.hr. Ikea also announces that the next job recruitment will be held in November when they will seek 15 employees responsible for customer relations and interior design. The largest job recruitment will take place at the beginning of next year when the hiring of around 200 employees for the future store in Zagreb will commence.
