At the National and University Library in Zagreb, awards and recognitions were presented yesterday to the most successful Croatian and foreign innovators as part of the International Innovation Exhibition Arca 2013. The most significant award of the exhibition, the Grand Prix, was awarded to the modular Croatian helmet by Šestan – Busch.
The helmet was first presented to the public at this Zagreb exhibition, and its manufacturers claim that there is currently no such product on the global market, but that there is already demand for it.
The modular Croatian helmet consists of 6 different integrating parts, provides complete head protection down to the shoulders, replaces all previous helmets, and meets the needs of all branches of the military, special forces, and police. Within one minute, a soldier or police officer can assemble and disassemble the helmet with one hand and put it on their head.
In its 20 years of existence, Šestan – Busch has developed more than 20 types of helmets for various branches of the military, special forces, and police, selling and exporting over 600,000 helmets to around 50 countries worldwide.
– Twenty years ago, we set ourselves the goal of being the best in the global market, and this helmet is the result of that 20 years of work and the success of all our employees, especially the engineers who constantly monitor new technologies, apply new materials, and are in contact with the most renowned global institutes – says Alojzije Šestan, director and co-owner of the company, who announces that the company will soon present this innovation at the largest global security fair Milipol in Paris in November this year, after which sales will commence.
