The Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, stated today that he is not concerned about the safety of Croatia Airlines passengers despite the recent aircraft malfunctions of the company.
When asked for a comment and assessment of the safety of flights with the domestic airline, Hajdaš Dončić said at today’s Railway Day celebration that the malfunctions of Croatia Airlines aircraft are not frequent at all and that the only serious incident was the blockage of the front landing gear on the Dash 8 – Q400 aircraft, which caused the aircraft to be grounded “on its nose”.
Other incidents did not have any impact on passenger safety and fall into the category of those that are commonly reported in the aviation industry, said Hajdaš Dončić.
He added that the Dash 8 – Q400 is one of the safest aircraft of its type, which, he said, has been confirmed by the profession.
When asked how preparations for the recapitalization of the ACI marina system are progressing, he replied that the Government is waiting for the adoption of the pension fund law because it wants domestic pension funds to enter ACI.
