Hrvatska poštanska banka has been offering loans to entrepreneurs since October 1, 2013, for improving energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in kuna and euros.
Hrvatska poštanska banka has expanded its loan offerings for entrepreneurs, and as of today, October 1, 2013, is providing loans for improving energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. The loan can be realized in kuna with or without a currency clause and in euros, with an interest rate of 6.45 percent. The maximum repayment period for the loan is 10 years, with a grace period of up to two years.
After offering a line of green housing loans to citizens in August of last year, HPB continues to encourage projects aimed at increasing energy efficiency with this new product for entrepreneurs. The new loan for entrepreneurs is intended for financing solar systems for the production of electricity and thermal energy for their own needs, financing grid-connected solar systems for electricity production, purchasing, constructing, or equipping low-energy properties, and can also be used to finance all activities aimed at improving the energy efficiency of business properties and/or the entire production process.
Hrvatska poštanska banka currently has 9,300 corporate clients. HPB’s loans to the economy reached 8.7 billion kuna by the end of September, and the growth of loans to legal entities in the first nine months of this year amounts to 3.7 percent.
The area of ecology is one of the segments in which HPB demonstrates its social responsibility. Through activities and business principles that contribute to environmental preservation, the Bank aims to increase the ecological awareness of its employees, clients, and the community, and to highlight the importance of using renewable energy sources for the environment. As a member of the UN Global Compact initiative, HPB regularly reports on progress and measures taken in the area of environmental preservation.
