Starting from October 1, a single ZET ticket for trams and buses will cost 10 kuna, regardless of whether it is purchased in the vehicle or not, and the daily ticket will also be cheaper, going from 40 to 30 kuna starting tomorrow, announced Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić at a press conference.
Whether there will be changes in the price of monthly tickets will be seen in a month or two, and in the meantime, the management of Zagrebački holding will consider the ticket control and collection system, which is currently ‘nonexistent’, said Bandić.
Our goal is for citizens to travel cheaper, but for everyone to pay for tickets, he emphasized. From increased ticket sales and better control, Bandić and the City Administration expect ten million kuna in revenue.
He did not want to answer the question of whether the conversion of some Holding subsidiaries into companies opens the door to private capital through privatization or concessions, reiterating that this is a “pressing need” due to the situation in the Holding and, in part, a legal obligation.
Bandić reported that starting next Monday, October 7, the parking lot near Paromlin will enter the payment system, where the price of a parking ticket will be 10 kuna from 6 AM to 6 PM, and five kuna from 6 PM to 6 AM.
