At the Rijeka shipyard 3. maj, two barges for the transport of oil and asphalt were delivered today, built for the Swedish client Wisby Tankers AB.
As reported by 3. maj, these are the third and fourth barges, or pontoons, intended for navigation on the river out of a total of eight barges ordered by this Swedish company.
Both barges are 59.5 meters long, 16 meters wide, and 7.6 meters high, with a carrying capacity of 2,450 tons.
The special feature of these barges, as noted by the Rijeka shipyard, is the insulated cargo tanks that can hold approximately 2,400 tons of asphalt heated to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius.
