Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin will visit the Austrian province of Styria on September 23 and 24, where he will hold official meetings with representatives of the provincial government and parliament to discuss co-financing projects from European Union (EU) funds in that province.
Accompanying Minister Lorencin on the two-day visit to Styria will be the Director of the Main Office of the Croatian National Tourist Board Meri Matešić, as well as other associates and representatives from other ministries, the Ministry of Tourism reported this morning.
The aim of the visit is to familiarize with Styria’s experiences in withdrawing funds from European Union funds for the construction of tourist infrastructure and the development of special tourist products, as well as for the education of tourism personnel. During the visit, the minister will officially meet with representatives of the Styria provincial government and parliament to discuss co-financing projects from EU funds in the province of Styria, the statement said.
Minister Lorencin and his associates will also visit tourism schools in Bad Gleichenberg, the Kloch golf course, and the Bad Tatzmasdorf spa, as examples of good practice in Styria.
Additionally, the minister will meet with the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Meri Matešić and the manager of Steieriche Tourismus GmbH George Bliem, with whom he will discuss Styrian tourism marketing.
