Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin will participate in the Weekend Media Festival as one of the speakers at the round table titled ‘If You haven’t Been to Croatia, You’re F***ing Idiot’.
In addition to the minister, the panelists will include Meri Matešić (Director of the HTZ Main Office, Croatia), Tomislav Popović (Maistra, Croatia), Željko Kukurin (Istraturist, Croatia), and Peter Radovich Jr (CBS, USA), while the panel will be moderated by Romina Knežić (Nova TV, Croatia). The round table will take place on Saturday, September 21, at the old TDR factory in Rovinj, starting at 11:15 AM.
The main topic of the round table is closely related to tourism in Croatia and will discuss the Strategy for the Development of Croatian Tourism until 2020, the Strategic Marketing Plan, communication strategy in tourism, foreign promotion of tourism, and the role of media in the promotion process, as well as current results and trends in tourism. Additionally, the speakers will discuss the impression that Croatia as a host leaves on its guests and will also answer numerous other interesting questions about destinations and tourist offerings.
The Weekend Media Festival (WMF) is a festival of media, creativity, and new business models, and a place where numerous professionals gather to exchange information and ideas. This year’s WMF is the sixth in a row and will be held from September 19 to 22 in Rovinj.
