Croatian Postal Bank, with its 60 business units, is ready to pay compensation to depositors of Centar Bank, who can submit payment requests starting Thursday, September 19th.
Croatian Postal Bank has been appointed by the State Agency for Deposit Insurance and Bank Rehabilitation (DAB) as one of the banks entrusted with the task of compensating depositors of Centar Bank. All 60 business units of HPB are available to depositors of Centar Bank, who can submit their payment requests starting Thursday, September 19th.
Individuals, companies, and non-profit institutions are entitled to compensation, except for persons in a special relationship with Centar Bank.
Depositors of Centar Bank can find prepared request forms that they can collect and submit for payment at any HPB branch. When submitting requests, deposit owners – individuals must present a valid ID card or passport, or another valid identification document, and for complete identification, they must also present the original document regarding the deposit (savings book, term deposit agreement, account card).
For depositors of Centar Bank who are unable to come in person, special power of attorney forms have been prepared. These special power of attorney forms can be collected at branches or on the HPB website.
Payments to individuals can be made in cash or by transfer to an account, while payments to companies and non-profit institutions will be executed by transfer to an account.
Depositors of Centar Bank can submit their requests within 12 months after DAB has published the public call, that is, until September 19, 2014.
