Goran Brajdić appointed new CEO of Dalekovod

At today’s Supervisory Board meeting, the resignation of Matjaž Gorjup was acknowledged, and Goran Brajdić, the former member of the Management Board for finance, was appointed as the new CEO of Dalekovod d.d.

Brajdić has extensive financial experience, and prior to joining Dalekovod, he worked in leading Croatian companies including Agrokor, Zagrebačka banka, Privredna banka, and Hrvatski telekom, and he will undoubtedly contribute to the further stabilization of the business with his knowledge and experience.

– This appointment is an exceptional honor as Dalekovod is a large company with a strong brand in both the domestic and international markets, and on the other hand, it is a significant challenge in terms of completing the settlement process and strengthening the company on solid market foundations. I believe there is great potential and perspective for resolving all the issues the company has faced over the past few years, especially since there is a desire and faith from our business partners, as well as our employees, in a positive outcome. Let us remind you, this appointment comes at a rather difficult time for Dalekovod as the Commercial Court in Zagreb today delivered a decision to Dalekovod rejecting the proposal for the conclusion of a pre-bankruptcy settlement.

Judge of the Commercial Court Mislav Kolakušić rejected the pre-bankruptcy settlement proposal on September 16, stating in his conclusion that he considers it inadmissible. He holds that it is contrary to the provisions of the Constitution, which mandates equality before the law, guarantees the right to property, and provides all entrepreneurs with equal legal status in the market.
