EY has appointed a new executive director to lead the consulting department in the Croatian office of EY, with a special emphasis on the public sector.
Tauno Olju has proven to be one of the leading experts in programming, planning, and drawing EU funds in Estonia, where he advised the Estonian government on numerous issues related to the implementation of EU funds and the reorganization of state institutions and state-owned enterprises. As Estonia has been one of the most successful new members of the European Union in implementing EU funds, he wishes to apply his personal experience in Croatia.
- Being a new member state and starting with all EU processes and policies for the country is definitely not an easy task, but I see a great future for Croatia in the European Union and believe that as a full member it will be very successful – says Tauno.
Besides Estonia, Tauno has worked for over three years in Turkey, where he advised the Turkish government on numerous economic policy issues such as the role of small and medium-sized enterprises and the restructuring of state-owned enterprises.
