In Focus: Shares of HT, Valamar, and INA

With weak investor interest, today the Crobex indices on the Zagreb Stock Exchange are slightly up, with the most trading occurring in the shares of HT, Valamar, and INA.

Around noon, the Crobex index was up 0.37 percent, at 1,832 points, while Crobex10 was up 0.39 percent, at 1,036 points.

The regular trading volume reached only 1.64 million kuna, approximately 4.5 million less than yesterday at this time.

“As expected, the regular trading volume remains low, indicating weak investor interest. The Crobex indices are near their initial levels, with the most trading in the shares of HT, Valamar, and INA. We do not expect significant changes in the domestic market by the end of the day, as there are no major news events,” emphasizes Ana Vitaić Gladović, an analyst in the Economic Research Department of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank.

The highest trading volume by noon was achieved by HT shares, amounting to 322.6 thousand kuna. Its price weakened by 0.49 percent, to 177.91 kuna.

Following is the share of Valamar Adriatic, with a trading volume of 231,000 kuna and a slight price drop of 0.16 percent, to 159 kuna.

There is also slightly more trading in INA shares, whose price increased by 1.18 percent, to 4,300 kuna.

Among the gainers, the share of Viadukt stands out with a price jump of 5.8 percent, to 337 kuna. At the same time, a slightly larger price drop is recorded for AD Plastik shares, down 1.93 percent, to 122.8 kuna.

From business news, the pharmaceutical company Belupo, which operates within the Podravka Group, will build a new pharmaceutical factory in Koprivnica.

According to unofficial information from the management of Podravka d.d., the project is set to commence next year, with planning and construction of the factory scheduled. Production at full capacity is expected to start as early as 2016. The new factory will increase production capacity by one-third, and in semi-solid forms (creams and ointments), capacities are expected to increase by 2.5 times.

The share of Podravka has increased by 1.97 percent, to 252.5 kuna.
