Panturist has offered free internet access on its 30 regional buses due to the increased number of students and pupils.
A central unit for mobile internet has been installed on thirty of Panturist’s vehicles, allowing simultaneous access to mobile internet for 32 passengers, with data transfer speeds of up to 14 Mb/s. Access to the internet is available with a password. Buses with free internet access operate on the regional lines of the transport company Panturist. All vehicles offering internet access are marked with a special WiFi sign, which passengers can easily notice in the vehicles.
– “With this project, we aim to introduce technical standards to the Croatian market that the Arriva group and Deutsche Bahn already provide to millions of users worldwide,” stated CEO Bo Karlsson.
– “Free internet on the bus is a significant advantage over traveling by car. Passengers have embraced the new service excellently. At the same time, internet access is also important for tourists who can check and gather information during the ride. We intend to further develop the project,” stated board member Dean Čebohin.
