The Zagreb Entrepreneurship Incubator has opened its doors to the third generation of startup teams. Nine new startups have been selected to participate in ZIP’s pre-incubation program.
The selection of projects took place in two steps: from all submitted projects, those that met all basic evaluation criteria (innovation, market potential, disruptiveness, and team) were first selected, and then invited to ZIP to give a live presentation, known as a pitch.
Ultimately, the final selection of projects was made based on the pitches and overall impression. The selection was led by the founders of ZIP: Ivo Špigel, Saša Cvetojević, Mihovil Barančić, and Damir Sabol. Dr. Vlatka Petrović, head of the Technology Transfer Office from the University of Zagreb, which has an established program collaboration with ZIP, also participated in the selection.
The nine new startups entering ZIP are:
CroMedicor – An online platform connecting all participants in Croatian health tourism
GreenPie – A web application that automates nutritional workflow
HelthEdu Project – A community that connects people, scientists, and developers with the aim of creating a platform for accelerating innovation and spreading knowledge in healthcare
Ljiljana Nieder – A web portal with verified recipes that are detailed
Orioly – A SaaS platform that helps small tour agencies easily organize their business
Potroško – An application for tracking and reducing mobile bills
Styledict – An online fashion community and platform for buying and selling clothing
Tournply – An online system for managing sports tournaments
Weddingella – An online planner for perfect weddings.
