European Commissioner for Justice Viviane Reding commented on ‘lex Perković’ and the problem she has with the Croatian Government in an exclusive interview for RTL in Strasbourg.
When asked how she comments on the case, she replied that the European Commission is the guardian of the treaties and if there is a country that does not respect what it has signed and goes against its word, promises, and the law, then it is the responsibility of the European Commission to say that this cannot go on!
- Unfortunately, I am very sorry to say this, Croatia, not Croatian citizens, but the Croatian Government, is doing very poorly for Croatia and for its reputation – she said.
