The change in the price of supplementary health insurance policies to 70 kuna per month for all citizens is one of the topics of the meeting of the Management Board of the Croatian Health Insurance Institute (HZZO).
The director of HZZO, Siniša Varga, recently announced more favorable and market-competitive supplementary insurance policies, which would cost 840 kuna annually for all policyholders.
Currently, the prices of these policies are 50 and 80 kuna for retirees, and for employees, they are 80 and 130 kuna per month, depending on income. The Management Board of HZZO will also discuss the tender for the conclusion of contracts for the implementation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the Međimurje, Koprivnica-Križevci, and Varaždin counties in order to reduce the National Waiting List.
Changes in the prescription of aids will also be on the agenda. The long white cane and the handheld pocket watch for the blind will henceforth be prescribed by family doctors, which should facilitate patients’ access to these aids.
The meeting will also address amendments to the HZZO Statute and its alignment with the Law on Mandatory Health Insurance.
