The Czech group J&T yesterday deposited the first 75 million kuna into a special account opened for the purpose of recapitalizing Centar Bank, according to unofficial information. Once the Croatian National Bank (HNB) confirms the validity of the transaction, the money will be transferred to Centar Bank’s account, allowing the investor to enter the shareholding structure.
According to Večernji list, the interest of small shareholders in participating in the recapitalization significantly exceeded expectations, as well as the amount they deposited.
Since the deadline for the capital payment, set at the General Assembly two weeks ago, expires today at midnight, the exact amount of the recapitalization that the bank’s management is obliged to first announce on the Zagreb Stock Exchange was still unknown yesterday. However, enough money has been raised.
