Today, the construction of another facility under the POS program has begun, which was recently relaunched after a five-year hiatus. The foundation stone was laid at the construction site of future POS buildings on Dalmatinska Street in Funtana.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Funtana, Mladen Grgeta, and the Director of the Agency for Legal Transactions and Real Estate Mediation (APN), Slavko Čukelj, signed a Contract on mutual rights and obligations regarding the construction of residential buildings.
During 2013, as part of the POS project, the construction or preparation for the construction of 933 apartments was initiated at locations in Zagreb, Split, Mali Lošinj, Osijek, Šibenik, Lovran, Punat, Vis, Komiža, Bol, and Vrsar. Interest has also been shown by some cities where the POS program has already been implemented, such as Pula, Opatija, Gospić, and Umag, while in Fažana, the project is currently in the design phase. Therefore, the Ministry of Construction expects that by the end of the year, the number of apartments built under the POS model could increase.
In Croatia, 177 buildings have been constructed under the POS project from the beginning of the program to date, with 5,185 apartments. The investment value is approximately 2,500,000,000.00 kuna, of which the state’s incentive funds amount to about 615,000,000.00 kuna.
