The asking prices for real estate in Croatia in August of this year remained unchanged compared to the previous month, while they were 5.1 percent lower year-on-year, according to data released today by CentarNekretnina.
In the Zagreb market, real estate prices decreased by 0.5 percent month-on-month and 6.9 percent year-on-year. The real estate price index in this area remains below the level from 2006.
The average asking price for an apartment in Zagreb in August was €1,581 per square meter, which is 0.9 percent lower compared to July and 7 percent lower compared to August 2012.
The most expensive apartments are still in the Medveščak district, with an average price of €2,196 per square meter, while the lowest prices are in Sesvete, where the average price in August was €1,194 per square meter.
In the Adriatic region, real estate prices in August were up by 0.6 percent compared to July, while they slid 2.6 percent year-on-year. The average asking price for houses in the Adriatic in August was €1,531 per square meter, which is 1.1 percent higher compared to July, but 3.2 percent lower year-on-year.
The average price per square meter of apartments in the Adriatic was 0.4 percent higher compared to the previous month in August, and 0.6 percent higher year-on-year, amounting to €1,975 per square meter.
The average asking price for an apartment in the Adriatic was €1,581 per square meter in August, which is 0.4 percent higher month-on-month. Compared to the previous year, apartment prices were down by 5.6 percent.
Apartment prices in the largest Croatian cities fell year-on-year in August – by 11.9 percent in Split, 2.7 percent in Rijeka, and 0.8 percent in Osijek.
