Hospitality and retail businesses in Croatia reported 7 billion kuna more deliveries subject to value-added tax (VAT) in the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year, while the total taxable deliveries across all sectors increased by 13 billion kuna, the Tax Administration of the Ministry of Finance reported today on the results of fiscalization.
Based on the comparison of VAT forms in the first half of this year and last year, in the area of activities I – Accommodation and food service activities, the total amount of taxable deliveries in the first six months of 2013 was 1.16 billion kuna higher compared to the same period in 2012.
Furthermore, based on the comparison of VAT forms for the same period in the area of activities G – Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, the total amount of taxable deliveries in the first six months of 2013 increased by 5.9 billion kuna compared to the same period in 2012.
The total amount of taxable deliveries across all sectors in the first six months of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012 increased by 13.015 billion kuna, according to today’s statement from the Tax Administration.
The Tax Administration has been continuously monitoring the application of the provisions of the Law on Fiscalization in Cash Transactions since January 8. By August 12, a total of 25,394 inspections had been conducted, identifying 3,055 irregularities and issuing 596 temporary bans on conducting activities.
